To the Electors of
Huron
In again seeking the support .of my felleveseleeters on election
sl ay, October 6th, 1 ton Remindfx and grateful tor the splendid vote
that was given me In the last eltgction, and 1 also appreciate the con-
fidence again placed in Me at 'the Liberal (``onvention,
During my tam as Member, I have ever been mindful of the in-
terests of the taxpayers of 'Huron Count•$' and have supported Ms.
Hepburn with hr's programa of tax redlucn'Lions. Much has been ac-
complished in the matter 'of Highways, I'tbads and Bridges for Huron..
Under Premier Hepbth h 'tile Provincial Government has assumed the
total cost of all highway's and. has increased by ter per cent. the
grant on all township roads. The Government has assumed the entire
.cost of Mothers' Allowance and of Old Age Pensions. The 'amuse-
ment tax --a source cif- 'annoyances -•.'Etas been lifted. A subsidy of one
mill on the local assessment has been given to each municipality.
The reduction in Hydro rates has meant dollars to the 'consumers and •
is enabling the extension of this utility to the farmers .of this 'Coun-
ty. The latest saving, which benefits all motorists, is a $5.0'0 red'ue- '
tion in automobile license fees.
Regardless of political affiia'tions, every citizen must adi it if 'lie is
sincere with 'himself, that the administration of Premier Hepburn has
relieved the drain and strain of the taxpayers' pocketboo'ks•in'mahy
ways. On October 6th you will have the opportunity of showing how
much you appreciate the handling of the finances •of'the province.
The savings that have been effected for the people •of the County

URGES CAUTION
Careful and reasonable considera-
tion of industrial problems confront
in gthe Dominion, was urged by Hon..
W. D. Euler, Minister of Trade and
Commerce, in addressing delegates of

atioon. Mr. Euler delivered the prin-
cipal address at the annual dinner
which marked the close i' the associ•
taion's three-day convention.
Rating Is High
Canadians who went to London to
sing in the Coronation choir are en-
joying themselves and find that Can-
adian choral efforts are quite on a
par with those of England's trained
musicians. Invited from different
parts of the Dominion the singers
received their music before they left
Canada but did not meet until they
attended the first practise in London.
Wm. J. Miller, of the Ottawa Temple
Choir made particular mention of the
kindly encouragement given the Caa-
'adian musicians by Sir Walfoi'•d
Davies, master of the Ring's music
