Zurich Fall Fair
Another Zurich Fall Fair day has
made history on Tuesday. The wea-
therman being ideal for the occasion,
and Zurich Fair like most other fairs
has greatly suffered in attendance,
as the result of the sca;'eof an epi-
demic, and as a result the gate re-
ceipts were shout of about $75 from
last year. Nat alone were the gate
receipts short but there was a trem-
endous falling off of other conces-
sions, which always help to increase
the treasury. Thee concert in the
,;town hall in the evening sponsored, by
the society was well attended and

Painful Accident
Mr. and Mrs. John Preeter and Mrs
Flora Brown of Kitchener were visit-
ing at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W.
L. Siebert on fair day. In the even-
'ing Mrs. Preeter had the great mis-
fortune of aflling down the back
,outdoor steps at the Siebert home
and fracturing her hip. To -day,
(Wednesday) she was taken to the
Clinton Hospital by 'Dr. P. J. 0'
Dwyer for an x-ray examination and
also' to have the broken Zone ad-
justed.
A very painful accident befell Mr.
Hilton Truemner of the 14th conces-
sion last Saturday morning. Mr.
Truemner ,was standing on the back
of the four-wheel auto trailer to
which was hitched a rather high sp-
'irited teamn of horses and who un-
expectedly gave a quick jark with
the result that Mr. Truemner lost his
,balance and fell out of the hack of
'the trailer fracturing his teg very
'badly. Medical aid wcs at once cal-
led, and he was rushed to Clinton
hospital for x-ray pictures which re-
vealed that the leg sustained eight
bone fractures at the leg. The pat-,
fent is resting quietly at the Hospital,
for a week or so before being brou-
ght 'home for the long six weeks of
quiet that usually goes with Such a
