ors at the home of Ur, Wm. Lamont.

town.
The fairly good crop of beans that
farmers have :been favoured with is
being hauled in and some laready
has been threshed.
Pleased to see Mr. L. W. Hoffman
out and attending to business after
being confined to the house for, a
few days.
The local grain cleaning machines
in town are kept quite busy these
days cleaning seed wheat for the
farmers, who are putting out a lar-
ger than usual acreage.
The recent dry weather was follow,
ed by nice rains on Friday night and
again on Tuesday night. The 'land is
now in fine shape for fall wheat sow-
ing, and farmers are losing no time
in doing this work.
This is the week -of Western Fair
at London, and owing to the n bad
weather the first two days the atten-
dance fell much bellow last year.
However, daily there are thousands
going to see the fair and it makes a
nice day's outing.

If it hadn't been for a foolhardy, reckless, criminal driver this accident
would have been avoided. As it is, one victim was taken direct to an
undertaker's parlours and two to a hospital. The driver who caused it
is hopelessly crippled for the rest of his life.
YOU'LL BE IN TROUBLE IF YOU DISREGARD THE LAWS
If you are a reckless driver travelling the Ontario highways, cutting in,
passing on curves and hills, endangering the lives of others, you will find
yourself in serious trouble. The appalling death toll must stop—and you
who are responsible for it will be put off the road! A thousand eyes
are vt►atching you; so be forewarned t
