The Board ,of Health of the Township of Hay
met in the council chamber on Tuesday afternoon,
September 7tha. Among ,other matters the Board
discussed the present epidemic of Poliomyelitis
(Infantile Paralysis) which has spread over the
Province. They wish to advise the citizens of
Hay Township that although up to the present
time there have been no cases of the disease in our
Municipality, they believe precautions should be
;,taken to avoid the disease.
Parents are advised to keep their children
away from crowds or public meetings. This advice
also .applys to young adults who, in considerable
numbers in this epidemic are contracting the
disease.
