Last Wednesday July 21st the
;ganne of soft::all ';etween stars of the
National Hockey League and the
local lads turned out to be a very one
sided contest in which the Pros. won
;by tthe score of 16 to 3.
Milton Schmidt, who plays a great
game of hockey for the Boston Bru-
ins, pitched for the Professionals and
the fans of this distritct saw the fas-
test ball exer delivered in a softball
game when he heally cut hoose. Of
course, as was to be expected the
local lads, who play only baseball of
the- hard ball variety, had no chance
against the Hockey ,Stars. However,
the fans enjoyed watching the game,
if for no other reason than to see
these much read and talked players.
of our National pastime "hockey."
