Donovan, which arrived Friday last
with cargoes of 206,000 and 106,000
bushels of wheat, and the str. Hanna
Which :arrived Tuesday with 104,000
bushels of wheat. The J. B. Foote un-
loaded 105,000 bushels of wheat at
the mill. The Hanna was the first ship
to be reIased from the ice blockade
in the St. Marys River when at least
ten ships were held up. The str. R.
P. Durham unloaded about 140,000
bushels of wheat, oats, barley and
flax at the elevator. The Winona ar-
rived to unload 116,000 bushels of
wheat. The Royalton and Berryton,
two of the larger ships arrived early last annual meeting were read and'

OBITUARY
Death of William W. C.eoper
The death occurred on Saturday
morning last at the farm home, in
Stanley Township, julst north of Kip -
pen, alter a somewhat protracted
illness, borne with the utmost pati-
ence and fortitude, of William W.
Cooper. Mr. Cooper underwent n
very critical operation by a Toronto
specialist, in the Scott Memorial Hos-
pital, in the fall of 1934, and altho-
ugh for thetiiue being, he was relie-
ved -and benefited thereby, a severe
motor accident in 1935 apparently
aggravated his former ailment, and
since that time in spite of the best
medical skill and kindly nursing, he
eaacanuly oceanic weaker, until death
ensued, Deceased was the elder son
of the late James Cooper, and was
born on the Cooper homestead, Lan -
den Road, Tuckersmith in Feb. 1871,
and his death cord,.titutes the first
breach. in •the family circle of seven
sisters.,ancl two' brothers. The deceas-
ed was well known in South Huron,
having contested the riding on two
occasions in • electionsh.In iiay 1899,
he was united in marriage with Kiss
Alice Bell, daughter of the late •Don-
ald Belle of Hay Twp., and since
that time they had lived on the farm
in Stanley. Besides his sorrowing
widow he leaves to mourn h ; par. -1
