1 By an act of the Dominion Post
office department last week the usual
statute holidays observed by the mail
carriers will now be a thing of the
past, as hereafter mail will have to
be carried eacb day of the week, with
(only Sundays excepted. This new
ruling will not go over big with the
Rairal Mail Carriers, who in years
gone by could, Stay at home and en-
joy the Christmas dinner with the
family, but now he has to hike and
do this route before he can call it a
holiday.
