Rev. Stephen Peachey wishes • to
announce that singing school will be
discontinued at the local Mennonite
church after Friday -evening, Novem-

Honor J. G. S. Stanbury, formerly
of E eter, was sworn in with fitting
ceremony and dignity an the Court

Mrs. Henry Ricker of Hay Town -
!ship near Kippen, is at present vis-

round Exeter, while her son Arthur.
Ricker has been West for several
months helping his sister Mrs. 'Pybus
get settled up after her husband's
death last spring, when she intends
to settle in Exeter. Ivir. Ricker is
bringing home a car load of live
stock to sell here. Mrs: Pybus may
stay with her mother and' brother

Dr. Milne Dies
Dr. W. J. Milne, one of the out-
standing men of Blyth, a farmer War
den of Huron County, passed away
last week at his home after being ill
since Iast March. He was born at
Streetsville in 1867, after living
there a short time he moved with his
parents to Palmerston where he at-
tended public school. His education
was continued when his family mov-
ed to Blyth. He attended Clinton
high School and Toronto University
where he graduated in medicine in
1838. He has 'been in Blyth some 55
yoara, where he had been a promin-
ent and much beloved physician. He
13as also carried on a drug store for
?:1any years. Dr. Milne was promin
nt in the work of the community
el did not spare himself in helping;
to advance any good cause. He was a
.nr'nber'of~the United church.
Domestic Water in a Month
It is estimated that Exeter's new
water "supply will be ready for the
consumers about the first of next
month. Workmen are now . string-
ing the hydro lines from Exeter to
the springs. One of the new pumps
has already arrived and the others
are epcected any day. Instalation
will be made as speedily as possible.
With the lift pump that has just ar-
•rived the water will be pumped di-
rect from the springs to the tower
at the rear. of the Town Hall. The
water from the reservoir will be used
only when the water direct from the
springs does not meet the .demand -
