;antiMrs. Ezra Tiernan, of Dashwood
has decided to locate in Tavistock,
and has taken. up his residence in
the house formerly occupied by the
late 0. C. Kalbfleisch Dr. Tiernan
is a graduate of Western University
medical schooL A very bright and
energetic young Islam and should do
well in the medicalaprofession. He
served as interne in 'the Hamilton
General Hospital and for the past
year was the medical officer at Camp
Borden.
Seaforth Lawyer Passes
J. H. Bcst, prominent lawyer of
Seaforth for 15 year, died on Thma
day last from. pneumonia. He had
been ill for three months. Mr. Best
graduated from Osgood Toron-
to, in, 1916 and immediately enlisted
for overseas service. After his dis-
charge, he started practising law in
Seaforth in 1919. He was interested
in sports and was a keen lawn bowl-
er. His widow, one daughter 13 and
two unmarried sisters, both of Tor-
onto, and one brother, Russell, of
Bracebridge survive. His father died
several years ago. Funeral, under
the auspices of the Canadian Legion,
was held from St. Thomas Church
on Sunday at 2.30, with interment
in Goderich Cemetery.
