All persons having claims against
the estate of William. Fillingham, late
of the Township of Stanley, Bachelor,
deceased, who died on or about the
8th day of July, 1936, are hereby
notified to send in to the undersigned
Administrator, on or before the 12th
day of September, 1936, full particu-
lars of their claims. Immediately af-
ter the last mentioned date the assets
of the said estate will be distributed
amongst the parties entitled thereto,
having regard only to claims of which
they shall then have notice.

'Reserve Champion
Mr. Preston E. Dearing, of Step-
hen, was awarded reserve cirampiion
ship for best Dorsch Horned ewe any
age at the Con. Nat. Exhibition; Tor-
onto, with his yearling ewe. - This is
the first time he is exhibiting at Tor-
onto and has been successful in car-
rying- off a number of prizes. He is
showing 12 sheep and drew 8 prize:.
MAIL BOXES NUMBERED
The local postoffice is issuing a sir-
cular letter from the Department to
instruct all rural mail -box holders to
plainly print ,the number of their
boxes thereon. To have the numb
of their box on any letters sending
out thneugh the mails, and this will
greatly help the postmaster and emir
ler to give good service. Tlri2 should
be done at once. One can readily
see that with this system in use there
can be no excuse for improper de:.
livery of the mails. In the case of
strangers receiving their mail, ad-
dress to your box, there will be no
need of inquiring where they are.

The August Meeting of the W.M.S
of St. Peter's Ev. Lutheran church
was held in the church basement. Af-
ter the opening hymn Rev. Tuerk-
heim offered prayer and Mrs. E. Trl:-
heim read the scripture lesson and
presented the topic entitled "'Out of
the Mail Bag." Letters from the de-
partment Secretarys 'were read by
Mrs. H. Krueger, Mrs. E. •Datars,Mis>
M. Heideman, Miss G. Weber, Mrs.

Hensall Man Dies
William Sangster, member of the
Village Council, and pro-
minent as a merchant, died suddenlyon Sunday. On Saturday, he return
ed to his home complaining of feel-
ing unwell and during the night pas-
3ed away. He was in his 47th year.
Mr. Sangster served overseas, enlist•
�d with the machine gun section. of
161st Battalion. Fifteen years
iso he married Miss Minnie Sinclair,
who, with four children survive.
There also survives a brother, James.
f Hensall, and his mother and a sis-
ter. He was a member of Carmel
Presbyterian Church, Hensall, from
where the funeral was held on Tues-
day afternoon.
$75,000 Apple Crop
More than $75,000 will be brought
nto Middlesex County during . the
next few months by an apple crop
estimated to be 35 or 40 per cent
greater than last year. Though export
;ales will still .be far below peak,the
result of frost damage to trees of
exportable varieties two years ago,
the total commercial crop for• Midd-
lesex will probably total 35,000 bar-
rels. By truck and train, it will be
distributed throughout Ontario and
to other Canadian markets while
4,000 or 5,000 barrels will go over-
seas.'

A general inspection of the Hen-
sall station and grounds took p'ace
on Sept. 2, when J. F. Pringle, gen-
eral supt., Toronto; C. J. McKeough
supt., Stratford; D. McKenzie, civil
engineer, Stratford and J. Billo, ro
admaater, were present. The officials
were well pleased, with the appear-
ance of the station' and grounds and
of the splendid business being done
at the Hensall station.
Miss Mae McNaughton of Toronto,
was a visitor with .her parents, Mr.
and Mrs. D. McNaughton.
Kenneth Hicks of Teeswater is op
ening up a Sc to $1 store in the M_ur-

A. L. Case, C.N.R. agent at Hen-
sall attended the opening of the new
CNR station. at London, Tuesday ev.
Sept. '1: Mr, Case representing the;
Bruce line of the CNR. The new sta-
tion was -beautifully decorated with
large 'bouquets of flowers. This buil-
ding is one of the finest and up-to-
date stations in the province.
• Death of Robert Eacrett.
lhe' death occurred at London of
Rob:Li Eacrett, a former resident of
Hensall and 2nd con. Hay. He was
born erryears ago at lot 13, con. 2,
Hay, son of the late Chris Eacrett.
After his marriage to .Margaret In -
grans they moved to Hensall where
he built a fine Koine. Later they mo-
ved back to the farm, where they
were extensively engaged in growing
strawberries and other fruits. His
beautiful farm and home was one of
the show places of Huron. He is sur-
vived by his wife and three daughter.'
