Do You Know?
Mr... MERCHANT!
You know thoroughly well that you have power
in your store, to influence the decision. of your cus-
tomers in regard to what they buy from you. Your
customers rely on you to give them products which
in use or consumption, will .give them complete
satisfaction.
If it is right to use big city dailies and nationaly-

right to use local weekly newspapers!

Goderich—With wheat and Parley
near the dollar mark, they are prov-
ing popular commodites for theives.
On Saturday, Prov. Constable onstable h.. B.
McCoy took Cloyton and Milton Lig-

imhtfoot, brothers aged 19 and 21 years
into custody. They are charged. with
the theft of 100 bushels of wheat
and 75 bushels of barley from Usb-

the thefts were reported a checkup
of elevators gave police a clue. The
total of grain thieving cases since
threshing started in Huron Count
this fall is five..
A Record Month
Hensall had more- grain marketed.

other month in the history of that
thriving town. Trucks are hauling
grain: there from a radius of 60 miles
and tracks and teams are often lined
up for two or three blocks. The var-:
'i.ous grain elevators are running'
niglet and day to handle the rush and
a large staff of men are at work.;
During the month of August 144
cars of grain were shipped from the

the famous "horse case", now over
two years before the courts, which
started with a horse dealer W.

in the milk bottle of a neighbor of
McLeod's during the latter's absence
and leading the steed, for which he
had bargained, away •McLeod had
Davidson arrested and put in jail for
theft,, but the horse dealer was honor
ably acquitted. Davidson then brou-

malicious prosecution and was award.
+ed $500 and costs in Supreme Court:.
Litigation only started at .this point
and has gone on and on until costs
now amount to thousand of dolIars.,
It looks as though a good :100aatmre-
farm is to be dissipated in legal; costa.
over a $40 horse. Allegedly to escape,
paying the $500 judgment McLeodl
transferred his farm to his bro2er
and sister. The transfer was set aside
by Justice McEvoy. He next gave a;
bill of sale of chattels to one W,'•,
Morsburg, this was void, the next;::
move was to make application for •
relief under the Farmers' Creditors"
Arrangement Act, but Judge Castelse

of the Act. On Saturday the crown,
attorney stepped in and ordered Bin
