We regret to report the Illness of Mr. Herbert Bender of the Goshen Line south. He was -rushed to Lon - cion Hospital and from there on to Toronto, for ,treatments. Mr. Ben- der has an affliction in the head. A tame deer which has been given considerable publicity evidently visit ed the folks at the lake near the cot tage of Mr. Albert Hess just north o= St. Joseph. While there we took a run over to 'lesson, where we had: the pleasure of being entertained by, Rev. Father A. NI. Stroeder, parish priest of Hesson, and a former pastor for many years of St. Boniface, Church, Zurich. We were indeed delighted on finding Father Stroeder so comfortably situated with a nice large church well equipped and a large congregation consisting mostly of German descent people. Father Stroeder is a very interesting person to converse with, still maintaing that touch of humor that he has always fondly cherished. HYMENIAL A quiet wedding Sat- urday afternoonAugust at the home of the ,bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. N. Douglas, Blake, Ont., when their daughter, Sarah Marga r• t became the bride of Donald Claude, son of Mr. and Mrs, D. F. Turner of Glanworth. Against a background of fern and garden flowers the cerem- ony was conducted by Rev. Jas. Scebie. Mr. John Gordon played the wedding music and sang during the signing of the register. The bride, whose father gave her in marriage, wore a gown of white suede lace over satin. Her embroidered tulle veil and cap were held by a coronet of orange b'lossonts and also carried a shower bouquet 'of Talisman roses and maid- edhar. fern. Miss Gladys Douglas, sister of the. bride, and maid of honor wore a gown of flowered yellow chiffon and a picture hat of match- ing shade. She carried a Colonial ,bouquet of Johanna Hill roses. 'The bridesmaid, Miss Maribel Carole, wore a gown of pink net over satin with a white picture hat and carried a 'Colonial bouquet of 13riarcliffe roses. Mr. Farquhar McInnis atten- ded the groom. For travelling the bride chose a brown taffeta Butt with grown accessories. After a motor '-ria through the New England States ;to Roston and New York, Mr. and 1 oils John McBride.
