Mx. and Mrs. J. W. Merner motor-
ed to Elmira over the week -end.
Mr. and Mrs. Julius Thiel spent a
few days of last week at Kincardine.
A goodly number of people were
in town Saturday attending the auc-
tion sale of the effects of J. Weido.
Dr. and Mrs. W. D Bryce are
.moving into the residence owned and
vacated by Mr. Jacob Weido.
Mr. WiIIiam Dumart of Kitchener,
spent a pleasant week -end at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. H. Yungblut..
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. T. Truemner of
the 14th con. were visitors at Milver-
ton over the week -end.
Mr. and Mrs. Theodore • Wagner,
of Guelph were holiday visitors with
the former's parents, M,r. and Mrs.
W. C. Wagner.
Mrs. George Beer of Buffalo, N.Y.,
is visiting with relatives here at pres-
ent.
Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Cook and. Mss
Ed. Brenner of Kitchener, were holi-
day visitors at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. John Brenner.
Mr. and Mrs. C. L. 'Smith motored
to Milverton on Monday, where they
attended the 90th birthday celebrati-
on of Mrs. Catherine Si peel.
Mr. and Mars. Daniel Oswald motor-
ed to Clinton recently to visit a niece
of Mrs. 'Osward's who has had an op-
eration for appendicitis.
Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Schade, bridal
couple, have returned 'home from
their honeymoon trip in Michigan,
after spending an enjoyable time
with relatives and friends.
Next Wednesday noon is the begin-
ning of the half holiday season and
the public should bear in mind not
to intend doing much shopping Wed-
nesday afternoons for -the coming
months.
Mr. Gordon•Pybus of the Parr Line
Hay Township, last week received
the sad newsof his brother, norman
who was a large farmer in the
West. The remains were brought to
Hensall and interment was made in
the Exeter cemetery on Monday.
Mr. S. W. Archibald, civil engineer
of London, recently surveyed the
lake frontage adjoining the farm of
Mi. William Ducharme, just north of
St. Joseph, and is preparing a plan of

town last week received the sad news
of the passing of their niece, Mrs.
Julius Angel (nee Maggie Weseloh)
of Waterloo, and daughter of Mr.
John Weseloh of that place, who died
at Waterloo on Tuesday of last week.
The Weseloh Family were former
residents of Zurich.

Big Gas Well
