A number of villagers attended the Minstrel Show at Hensall East Thurs- day evening. A number of the local baseball fans attended an executive meeting at Clinton last Wednesday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Wilhelm, and son of Baden visited relatives and friends in the vicinity last week. The local sportsmen are enjoying the sport of sucker fishing, and some very good catches have been made. Mr. and Mrs. William S. Johnston' 'attended the funeral of the late John Harmon held at Tavistock •on Wednesday last Mr. Robert Williams motored to Myth and Goderich on Sunday. Minstrel Show, Big Success The minstrel show at Hensall town Hall last Wednesday and Thursday . under• the auspices.. of _the Hensall Chamber of Commerce; proved a big success''both in attendance and in the numbers rendered. Those taking 'part numbered about 50, and special men- tion should be made of little Joyce `Broderick, daughter Of -Mr. and Mrs Russell Broderick, five, years of age. Claude Blowes as one of the end men in his conic singing and acting had to respond to repeated encores, while those giving solos and duets and leading choruses received much ap- plause. The end men, eight in number Were the life and fun makers of +the evening, while Laird Mickle did his part well as interl.octor.
