A Grey twp man, Arthur Fisher,
:appeared before Magas A. Makins at
<:Goderich and was fined $10 for reck-
less
eckless driving, $5 for drMng with 1035
license plates, and $2 for driving

Hays and Jim Sommers pleaded guil-
ty of screaming and causing disturb-
ance on April lst in Se'aforth and ad-

beer. Harold 'Knitting had no money
to pay his fine for causing disturb-
ances and got 20 days, and ten .days
for failing to have a license tag on
a dog. John Knight, of Colborne twp
was also fined for failing to have his
dog tag. A Brussels man paid $2.
and costs for driving with 1935 lic-
ense plates.

HAY COUNCIL
A special meeting of the Council
of the Township of Hay was held in
the Clerk's Office on Saturday even-
ing, April 18th, 1936 to open and
consider Tenders for operating the
Township crusher and trucking the
crushed material unto the Township
Roads for the season of 1936. Five

to the same the following resolution
was passed: That the Tender of Mr.
William F. Jennison be accepted for
the whole contract of operating and
placing material in bin and for truck-
Ing the crushed material unto the
roads at the following prices: Twenty
cents per cubic yard for operating
the crusher and placing crushed mat-
erial in the ;bin, and Seven .cents- per
yard mile for trucking the crushed
material unto the Township Roads.
Terms and conditions mentioned in
advertisement to be .included in the
contract to be prepared besides other
usual terms and conditions. Cuoncil,
adjourned to meet again for the re-
gular monthly meeting on Monday,
May 4th, 1936, at 1.30 :o'clock in the

STEPHEN COUNCIL
The Council of the Township of
Stephen met in the Town Hall, Cred-
iton, on Monday the 6th day of April
1936 at 1 p.m. All members were
present. The minutes of the previous
regular meeting and the special me;
eting held on the 21st of March we-
re read and adopted.
Following correspondence was read
Letter from W. C. Pearce, Exeter,
asking permission to place a few
boxes of bees on the street south of
Victoria Park. Permission not gran-
ted.
Letter from the Secy. of the Exe-
ter Creamery Board asking the Twp.
Council to arrange for the burial of
an indigent whose remains are now
in the receiving vault at the cemetery
Clerk was instructed to answer letter
by stating this matter should be tak-
en up wih the Huron County Coun-
l\Tr, Charles'Fritz was.at Hamilton
'the past week attending the funeral
of his sister.
Mr. and Mrs. John P. Rau and son
Leonard 'are spending a few weeks in
Detroit.
Mr. and P'�rs. J. E. Hamilton and
'daughter Loris of London, spent the
week -end at the home of J. Galster.
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Jervis, of
Clinton were Sunday visitors with
.her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sylv. Wit-

Mr. and Mrs. Herbert K. Eilber of
Crediton were week -end visitors with
their daughter and son-in-law, Mr.
'f'ind Mrs. Ward Fritz.
Mr. Peter Manson held a very sue-
cessful sate of his farm equipment on
Tuesday last. Mr. and Mrs. Manson
have moved their effects to thteir
residence in Hensall.

The -Council adjourned to meet a -
aside for depreciation, making a net
surplus for .the year's operation of
$3413.84, and the local system at
present has cash on 'hand and invest-
ed in bonds approximately $4,000.00,

H.E.P.C. is $9,042.51, and depreciati-
