The council awe putting -up a strong objection to paying for the • opening of snow roads, which if properly carried out would run into thousands of dolla;, which in the matter of a few 'weeks would all be melted away. At the recent meeting of the Zue- ieh Police Trustees Mr. Wm. Thiel;, who is a County Constable, was ap- pointed as town Constable, at a sal• ary of $25. We trust that the public will co-operate with Mr Thiel in maintaining order this year, and make Zurich a real law abiding vil- lage.
