STOLEN HENS LAY EGGS
Five hens identified at the prop-
erty of W. G. Cook, Bayfield road,
who had 27 stolen from his farm,
were found under a culvert on No.
8 highway between 'Clinton and God-,
erich. 15 eggs were found unuer the
culvert where the hens were malting
their home after breaking loose from
bags. Also a number of chickens
were stolen from the farm of John
Craddock, a neighbor of Cede

Zurich Fall Fair
Monday and Tuesday, September
22nd and 23rd are the dates of. the
Zurich Fall Fair, and special, efforts
are being shade to make this a very
successful event. The prize list has
been revised and especially in 'many
of the horse classes have prizes been
increased and a new. class added.
This year's fair should bring out
many horses from near and afr and
keen competion will be shown We
trust the weatherman will be in our
favour this year so that a very
successful fair can be had. Ask
the secretary, Mr. E. F. Klopp for a
prize list and then contribute in some
way in making the Zurich Fall Fair
a success in 1941. Be sure and note
the many •special .prizes offered in the
maze list.
OBITUARY
DIES AT BAYFIELD
Capt. Thoma, Pollock, died on
Monday, August 2.5th, at the home
of his niece, Mrs. Wm. Talbot on ,the
Blue Water Highway. Mr Pollock
was the last surviving member o.f the
Polock family, one of the best known
and highly respected pioneer famil-
ies of Bayfield district. He spent hie
early life in Bayfield and for the
last forty years has been engaged
sailing, captain of a boat on Lake
Winnipeg. The funeral was r.eici from
t'rc'- home of Mr. William Talbot on

associated with Exeter for many
