Mr. Quimby Hess of Northern
Ontario is spending a few weeks holi-
days with his parents.
Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Ross of
Seaforth were Tuesday visitors with
M. and Mrs. C. L. Smith.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Wilhelm of New
:Hamburg, Mr. and Mr.;. John Wil-
helm of Baden were week -end visit-
or.5 with friends south of St. Joseph.
Dr. and Mrs. B. A. Campbell a nd
member; of their family of Toronto,
were recent visitors at the home of
MM2r Jacob Deichert, calling on other
friends.
Pleased to report that Mrs. Geo.
Deichert is improving from her pain-
ful injuries she received Saturday
night May 24th near Homan when
they were in an auto accident.

Mr. Wm. F. Jennison, who was
awarded the contract of crushing and
trucking gravel on to the township
roads l'or 1941, is making good pro-
gress in the work and many of the
roads have already received a coat of

Womens' Institute
.On Monday evening, June 2 the
Zurich Women's Institute held their.
regular monthly meeting which was
opened by singing Oh Canada and
the Institute Ode. The Red Cross
Prayer was read in unison. Mrs.
O'Dwyer occupied the chair, Every-
one. -much enjoyed a reading by Har-
old Koehler. Rule Britania was sung
by all and then Phyllis Mc;;.ride ren-
dered two pleasing piano solos. The
topic for the meeting was "Peace and
International Relationship" ancl_ Rev.
C. 13. Reckenclorn was guest speaker.
He handled the subject very ably.
Morris O'D.wyer and Campbell Krue-
ger sang a patriotic duet accompan-
ied by Mrs. O'Dwyer at the piano.
Current Events was given 'i>y Mrs
Ward Fritz who dwelt on events of
the war. Mrs. O'Dwyer accompanied
Rae Oesch who sang two 'olo-s. Both
were very much enjoyed. Two poems
were ably read by Miss Pearl Wurtz..
