House Burns
On Saturday htternoon the large
stone house of Mr. Elgin=1cKinley
of the Goshen line, three miles north
of Zurich took fire from the roof
and before it was extinguished, it
got almost beyond control. The ter -
rifle wind blowing at the time made
it almost impossible to extinguish
the flames as they were fanned by
the wind. The Zurich fire brigade
with its equipment went up and did
good work in getting it under con-
troI. Practically all the upper story
of the house is gutted by the fire,
while much 6f the lower story is be-
ing saved. 'We join in the many fri-
ends of Mr. and Mrs. (McKinley and
Psxnily in extending our sympathy in
their hour of great loss,
