W.M.S. Observe Weld's Day of
Pryer
The W1MS of the United Church,
observed the World's Day of Prayer
on Friday afternoon Feb. 28th at the
manse. The meeting was presided
over by IIrs. N. Alexander and open-
ed with the theme "Thy Kingdom
Conte" and a short reading. After
a hymn and prayed in unison, Mrs.
N. Alexander gave a short reading
and Mrs. Chandler led in prayer. A
hymn and the bible reading:Psalm
46 was read by Irma Ferguson. Mrs
W. Homey then led in prayer, var-
ious readings and prayers were a-
gain given by Mrs. N. Alexander.
The topic'"Link.ng East with West
was given by Mrs.- A. McMurtrie as-
sisted by ,Errs, W. Mollis. A. short
bible reading wag given by Miss
Irma ,Ferguson and Mrs. J. B: 1VIc-
Lean led -in prayer. The offering and
roll 'call. were then taken and there
was a short business discussion. A
hymn and the meeting -closed. with
the National Anthem and the bene-
diction in unison.
