The funeral was held from his Kitchener residence with burial in Hensall Union cemetery. Some 50 provincial police attended the funeral service. STANLEY TOWNSHIP W. M, S . The January meeting of Goshen W.M.S. was held in the church, on Thursday afternoon Jan. 16th, with «the newly elected President, Mrs. Russell Erratt, presiding throughout the meeting. During the business per- iod the roll call of twenty naernbers was responded to with payment of membership fees. Encouraging re•• ports of the year's activities were re- ceived from the various secretaries. A few of the highlights being: - A real line Mission Band was argaan- ized last year, with Miss Norene Rob- inson as leader, the assistant for 1941 is Mrs. Elmore Stephenson. Most of the members enjoy reading "World Friends." The baby band is flourish- ing., there being lour new 'members, and six have graduated into the Mis- sion Band. The Missionary monthly Society reported ten subscriptions. The Birthday Sacy gave a most in- teresting report showing' a balance of $5.35 to begin the New Year with, and several members still to hear from for 1940. The treasuer, Mrs. Bruce McClin- chey joyfully announced the allocat- ion of $170.00 had been reached and forwarded to the Presbyterial Treas- urer. The members were listed in tour groups with a leader for each group, namely -Mrs. Elgin McKinley Mrs. Perce Johnston, Mrs. R. MI Peck Mrs. B. Keys and a survey was made for enlisting new members. While the organist, Min. G. Ander- son, softly played appropriate eausic, the officers rallied around the rront of the Church, where the r:on orary President conducted the installation.
