Marline of Kippen, spent Thursday at
the home of Mrs. Herb Mousseau.
Miss Donna Smith and Miss Jean
Heard, of Clinton, were recent visit-
ors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herb
;Mousseau.

London.
Mr, George Arrristrong, reeve of
Hay Township is attending the No-
vember session of the Huron t;ounty
Council at Goderich this week.
Mr. Clayton Hof:man, Mr. and Mrs
Clarence Hoffman and son Bobbie of
Galt were week -end visitors with
their parents here.
The menu of the Red Cross Supper
has been changed from a cold supper
to a hot supper. Anyone bringing
sandwiches, who has not been notified
please get in touch with Mrs. Tom

Melick-Pfile
A quiet but pretty wedding was
yolenznized at the Evangelical Par-
sonage, Zurich on Saturday morning,
Noviember 9th, when Rev. C. B.
Heckendorn joined in Holy Wedlock,
Miss Pearl Pfile, daughter 01 the late
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Pfile to Mr.
Alfred Melick, both of Zurich. The
bride chose for her wedding dress a
Forest green crepe with a black pic-
ture hat. and accessories to match.
Amid showers of confetti the bridal
couple Teft for a short trip to Kit-
chener, where a sumptuous wedding
dinner was given by the groom's'
daughter, Mrs. Lerutis Calllfas. The
dinning room was beautifully dec-
orated with pink: and white streamers
centred with a white bell at the ceil-
ing and the table was adorned with
a three-story wedding cake. On
their return home on Monday even-
ing a reception was! given them by the
bride's sisters at the hone of Mr. and
Mrs. Roland Geiger when about
twenty guests sat down to .a fowl
dinner after which the bridal couple
were presented! with many useful
gifts.

A quiet but peetty wedding was
solemnised at, the United Church
manse; Varna,. on, Tuesday, Novem-
ber 12th, at; 10;0. a.m., when Marg-
aret Agnes, only daughter of Mr.
andi Mss:. Roy- Lamont of Zurich,
was united in merriage to Melvin
Janes Elliott, youngest son of Mrs.
Albeit Elliott and the late Albert
E1li"ott of Grandview, Manitoba. Rev.
R. Peters performed the ceremony.
The bride chose a becoming gown of
whisper blue crepe with tucked skirt
and bracelet length sleeve and mat-
ching accessories with touches of
pink. Her ezirsage was pink talismair
roses; her only ornament was a neck
lace set with pearls which was worn
by her grandmother. Miss Sly'
Manson of Hensall was her cousins'
bridesmaid and was smartly glwn.ed
in biege wool with red and black trim
and accessories in 'black. She snaste a
corsage of better time roses; in red.
