• ...Successful Recital
The piano Recital given by the
pupils of Mrs. Lenora K. Tuerkheim,
A.T.C.f17. in the basement of St.
Peter's Lutheran church, Zurich on
Wednesday evening last, October 80,
was a decided success. The basement
was decorated with,•a few touches of
Hallowe'en. Mand parents as well
as other visitors were present to hear
these young musicians play the piano, -
also several numbers• in sun;; were
rendered. .Much credit goes to their
teacher and instructor for the excell-

music; how to handle the key board
of a piano; every one doing their part
very nobly. Mrs. Tuerkheim also
favoured the audience with a piano
solo, "Valse BrilIante" Chopin Op.
34 No. 1. This was played in her
very able manner. Mrs. Tuerkheim
also thanked the audience for their
presence and interest. This is indeed
a great privilege to attend these re-
citals both for the pupils who take
part as well as the spectators.
