His head was cut and Ids face badly (burned. The explosion occurred while 'Zimmer was putting oil in a car owned b3 Barry Clarke. The oil exploded in the crankcase and shot fire into the garagerlan's face. The plunger from the engine struck him, causing severe lacerat- ions.
