In Magistrate's Court
Goderich—Men who are on the
move, looking for work and seldom
finding it, are receiving short snrift
from Magistrate Makins these days.
Bert Gurnrnerson of Atwood, charg-
ed with vagrancy was found sleeping
in a strange truck at Seaforth, had
no money for a bed but for beer, ac-
cording to the constable, two years
ago he was given time to pay a fine
at Palmerston and had not kept his
promise court was told, he will do
the alternate time in jail. Sentence
was again deferred on "Duke" Mc -
Lister, of Windsor, who last week
pleaded guilty to what Crown Attor-
ney Holmes called a "vicious assault"
on Constable Jack Stewart in a
Grand Bend dance hall. The crown
attorney said he was awaiting infor-
mation on his record. Because their
counsel, J. C. Cohen, Toronto, is
busy in Ottawa, charges under the
Defence Regulations against six of
Jehovah's Witnesses were laid over
one' week as was the murder charge
against Sam Dodge.

Inquest Held
Last Wednesday afternoon in the

ton conducted an inquest into the re-
cent death of 12 -year-old Leroy
Rader, only son of Mr. and Mrs.
Milne Rader, Hay Township. After

jury handed in their decision, as the
mishap was purely accidental and
that not blamer• was attached to any-

supported the groom. A reception
was held .at the home of' the bride's
sister, Mrs. H. Penhalie, Exeter, to
the immediate families. The table at-
tractively arranged with pink and
white tapers centred with the three -
tiered wedding cake and silver candle
holders and pink candles Mr. and
Mrs. Ross Johnston later left on a
motor trip to London, Sarnia and
Port Huron, the bride travelling in a
blu printed crepe dress with Blue'
and white doll hat with white Ogee
