When Joseph Rced, restur- ant employee, and Winnifred Belling- er, l‘reW Hamburg, appeared charged with vacrancy, Crown Attorney 1iol- Ines admitted, in the ordinary sense of the word that they must not be vagrants. However, their action of w111tir.‘; &:out the streets with arm 13out the others waist was encircle( a mentioned and 'petting on park ben- ches also drew remarks, when the ttrisel for defendants hag put up his plea, Mligistrath Makins rubbed his chin. He remanded the young man for a week on his own bail, but the girl was remanded to jail for .the same period. Jack Klirpert, 18, of Owen Sound, at. first :asked for a jury trial on a breaking., enterrsg and theft charge, but before court ad- journed be changed his mind, ple- ading gui'ty and was remanded to jail for sentence. Mag. Makins was not sure that conditions underewhich two loads of logs were weighed on Goderich municipal stales gave the correct weight and dismissed two charges of overloading against the Goderich Mfg. Co., evidence disclosed -chat the truck and trailer loaded with logs were welighed separately„ while still attached, the platform scales be- ing too short 'to accomodate the veh- icles and its lead at one weigh. The case was dismissed. 1 1 Specials for Thursiay, Friday and Saturday 'Carnation evaporated 'milk, 2 tail tins ....... ........15c Fancy red Colne salmon 1-s per tin .. . ... ......-._.25c Garden Patch 0:Aden corn 2 tins .. ... . -...19c Princess soap flakes, 1 large grant and 1 regular 15c pkg. free both ... ...... ... ...--._.35c P and G Napa -la soap, 4 cakes ... . . ......
