"The Blake United Church held its
'10th anniversary on Sunday June 9,
'iwvin a good attendance present at
llrotli services. Former members were
liven a hearty welcome to the serer-
iicas. The beautiful flowers which.
edecorated the church related the pros-
aeneee of God to us. The speaker for
the day. Rev. 3. B. Townsend, of
Melgrave delivered two very inspir-
ing addresses.

ning to attend to the Eucharist Con-
gress which took place in that parish

Farmers are much behind with the
bean seeding due to frequent and
heavy rains and it is now the general
belief that the acreage will be much
reduced a$ it is getting quite late.

On Sunday last the Holy Nance
Society of four of the adjoining par-
ishes held their annual rally in the
French Settlement parish church,
and so large was the crowd that malty
had to remain out during the service,

The Holy Name Society Rally was

The H•endrich Memorial Band of
Dashwood are giving a sacred con-
cert at Grand Bend on Sunday even-
ing June 23rd at 8.45 p.m. The
entire proceeds of this program are
to be given to the Red Cross.
The Dashwood unit of tr,e Red
Cross are asking for clothing for the
refugees. Anyone wishing to make a
contribution will kindly bring your
gift to the Evangelical c..hurch . on
Thursday afternoon where the ladies
