Luckily no one was near when it fell breaking in three pieces. Appointed Leader Mrs. N. J. Dore, of Exeter, has been appointed organist and choir leader at the Main St. United church Miss Evelyn Huston, who had the po- sition for a number of years, has re- tired owing to poor health. Drowns at London The sad news is learned of the death at London by drowning of Alex Cook, 38 -year old aircraftsman who is believed to have walked to his death:in the Thames River just north of Blackfriars bridge on Saturday afternoon. His coat and service cap were found on the river bank. He has not been mentally healthy of late, and it is thought in a weak time the act was committed. Mr. Cook' was quite frequently in Zurich being married to formerly Miss Alice Me- Clinchey of here, and who is a niece of Mr. W. C. Wagner of Zurich. LATE JOHN McCLURE John McClure, for many years president and director of the Bay- field Agricultural Society died at his home Goderich Township. Born in McKillop Twp. near Seaforth 72 yrs ago and moved to Goderich Twp. 48 years ago and lived there on his farm. ever since Surviving besides his wid- ow are two sons and two daughters.
