'Surviving are: her husband, six sons, Edmund, manual training teaCher, 'London; Dr. William Geiger Waterloo; Rory, druggist, Kitchener; Sydney, principal of high school, Es- panola; ;Oliver, manager rank of Montregl, Fenlon Falls; Ira and one daughter (Versy), Mrs. Eric Kenn- edy, at 'home. 4TBE CARNIVAL Last Friday evening a very success- ful Skating carnival was sponsored ; by 'the -villag.te in aid of the local Red Cross Sodiety. The place: Dagg's Rink. Before saying anything fur- ther about the ,carnival, we wish to tender a hearty vote of thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Dagg for their untir- ing efforts in -making a rink posssible. The carnival was well attended by. skaters young and old, in and out of I costume, as well as a large number of spectators. Thanks to Mr. Harry G. HE'SS, the proceedings were well illuminated. Mni. Dagg's summer kitchen was the scene of real activ- ity, too. Here the hungry crowd was tempted by hot dogs, coffee, pop, and a special for the kiddies of pop- corn balls. Our bakers each d.nated 100 buns, our butchers each donated 5 lbs, weiners; Mr. and Mrs. Krueger a case of pop, butter from the Cre- amery, catsup and mustard from Mr. and Mrs. Menno Oesch; pop corn balls from Mrs. Ed. Gaseho and Mrs. W. D. Bryce. The following -merch- ants each donated $1.00 for prizes: Stade & Weido, johnston & Kalb- fleisch, J. W. Merner, J. Gascho and Son, Herb Mousseau. Miss Balkwill, Mr. • Herr and Mr. 1 Watson acted as judges. Prizes of $1.00 were given as foll- ows: Best comic under 12, Bobby Bryce; Iles fancy under 12, Vot Klopp; 13est comic over 12, Ross Gaseho; Post fancy over 12, jack O'Brien); Best couple, Joyce and Betty Mousseau.
