HELPS CANADA
Ottawa—Although revenues for the
first nine months of the current: fise-
al -year ending next March 31 showed
an early tendency to drop below the
receipts during the same period the
previous year, sharp increases since
the outbreak of war. have altered
Canada's financial picture. Total
revenues from April 1 to Dec. 31,'39
were $398,800,00, a gain of about
$4,000,000 over the same period the
Previous year. The gain for Decem-
ber alone, however, was $7,700,000
as compared with the previous Dec-
ember, and January revenues- thus
far show increases.
