MRS. FRED THIELE, Proprietress
Word has been received here of
the :four boys, tourists who are en-
joying a trip to Florida and -the sun-
ny. south. They arrived at Miami
aiutla•re by now on their wry Dark to
the northern country where the cold
winds' are blowing with plenty of
snow. The weather has not ,been as
warm in the south as they matt an-
ticipated. They will likely be back
by the middle of next week.
A quiet event took place wen .Miss
Ethel Drysdale, daughter of tr. and
Mrs. Robert Drysdale of Sandusky,
the fourth exporting country in the
world, with export trade for 1989
estimated at approximately $900,000-
000, last year Canada's exports, other
than gold, totalled $849,000,000. In
the matter of exports, Canada ran'.:
uenind the United States, Great Brit-
ain, and Germany. It ranks ahead of
France which has a population of a-
round 35,000,000, but France ranks
ahead in total trade owing to her
large imports.

public meeting held in the town hall
in the evening. Following is the re-

Mich., on Saturday, December 23rd.
After the ceremony the happy young
couple motored to the home of the

Real Winter!
-The. New Year surely ushered in
Como real .winter weather. It was
lo7g overdue, and it surely did come.
While here in the village we did
not get as much snow as at some
nla.ces, but our back streets are
,:i my full and the auto has plenty
.io to pull itself through. • The .+,
'•urieh Road is not filled as the storm
Sunday and Monday travelled
ith the same direction as this road
but No. 4 Highway was -badly filled
in Sunday and the evening bus as
well as other traaffic were marooned
in the banks, but the plows on Mon-
day again opened the roads. Down a.
at the Lake, especially at Grand Bend
there is verry little snow. So if you C
are not aware t Vix►tgr is Heng!. {#
