Red Cross SDc'ety
On Thursday evening. November
23, the Executive of the Zurich dis-
! trict of the Red Cross Society, .:net
in the Council Chambers o° the Zur-
ich Town Hall. Dr. Bryce reported
that the recent canvas for funds had
nettryl' 1;887.25. The twe junior
rooms of the Zurich school made do-
nat'oni. It was proposed that a -con-
cert be held, in the near future,
which would be compo -ed or the. two
best num,e•s from the C'hr•stmasen-
tertainments of each school. A jack
rabbit drive will also be he'.d as soon
as weather permits. Zurich schoel
boys are gathering wastepaper, and
this week collected over 1,000.lh;.
Any organization wishing to put on
any kind of entertainment in aid of
the Red Cross must first obtain. a
permit from Mr. Dag'. Mr. Andrew
F. Hess has turned over a room ' in
his office as a storage place. ror sup-
plies. Mrs. Dr. Bryce -would wel-
come additional knitters.
