This is London Fair week and a
large number of citizens are at that
place this Wednesday.
Mr. Kenneth Brakey and Jack Mer-
ner enjoyed a few days, last week
attending the Exhibition at Toronto.
• Miss Beatrice Gascho .who has been
at London and Grand Bend for the
summer, has returned to her home in
town. •
Mr. and Mrs. Addison Koehler and
family of Syracuse, N. Y.," were re-
cent visitors , at the home .of Mr. and
Mrs., Peter. Koehler.
FOWL SUPPER—The date for the
Fowl supper at St. Peter's Lutheran
Church has now been set for Thurs-
day, .October 26th,
Mn Joseph 'Cantin of Montreal,
gave us a friendly call one day, and
reporots as things moving along nice-
ly in Canada's largest city. ,
Mr. and Mrs. John Brenner and
son Clarence; Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Schilbe motored to Milverton on Sun-
day to visit relatives and friends.
Mrs. Roy Pask of Clawson, Mich;
Mrs. Tony Pask and son Gladwin and
Miss Man of Detroit, Mich., spent
the week -end with Mrs. Bassow and
family. •
Misses jean Horner and •Mae Smith
who spent the summer months at
Oakwood Inn, at Grand Bend, have
returned to their homes, as the din-
ing room of that place is now closed
for. the season.

daughter of` Sandusky, Mich., were
,Sunday visitors in town. They were
accompanied home by Mrs. Drysdae's
sister, Miss Jemima, Johnston, who
spent a few weeks in Sandusky.
Mr. and Mrs. William Martin and
daughter Marion of Stratford, call-
ed at the home of Mrs. C. Eilber on
Sunday. They were accompanied
home by Mrs. Martin's mother, Mrs.
Mary Gibson, who had bee:: staying
with her cousin, Mrs. Eilber nor about
six weeks.
September 25th and 26th are the
dates of the Zurich fall fair, and
already many exhibits are being put
into saape for this big annual event.
So far as early enthusiasm is con-
cerned it should be a bumper show
regardless of the questionable polit-
ical situation in our country. We
will get nowhere by bemoaning and
wringing our hands. Let's gar let
as all meet at the Zurich fair.
OBITUARY
Late Elmer George Krueger
The rather sudden pe!sing °of Mr.
Eimer George Krueger tank place at
his horns, 14th concession Hay- Town-
ship, on: Tuesday September 5th at
the age of 48 years, 1 month and 13
days. Deceased who was the elder
son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Krueger
of the same neighborhood as their
son had lived, but now of Dashwood,
was a very bright and i'nitelligent
young man with a most accomplished
aspect of life, and as a young mart

Elmira, after this he returned to his
home for a short period then he be -

!Myrtle Horner and were on their way
to a very prosperous future in farm-
ing in the. 14th can., when about
fourteen years ago the departed be-
came sickly and always a little weak,
er, and it is surprising how he did
keep up all these years, till the hand
of a greater Power said it is finished.
To meet Elmer and converse with
him before his illness, was indeed a
pleasure, as be was 'c er v enlightened
on practically every subject y tit wish
to chose. Besides his sorrowing wid-
ow, thre daughter and a son, survive.
