SAW THE ROYAL COUPLE
Did you see the King and Queen?
was the question generally asked
during the latter days of the past
week.. Many went to .Stratford on
Tuesday where also many were dis-
sapointed as their stay there was
very limited, and to marry the trip to
Stratford was a "flop". Then on
Wednesday the huger multitudes
journeyed to LaadQn; and here the
showing was much better, as they
travelled on a 41/2 mile route through
the wider streets• of the city and it
Ps thought that about 600,000 had
a good view of he handsome couple,
although the auto .in which they were
travelling moved just a little too fast
for many to get the desire, -got:. We
happened to he fortunate to see them
for over five minutes, as we arere lo-
cated opposite the grand stand of the
Westminster Hospital, where the.',
Royal tar stopped and behold there
'ust,alrrbs the pavement about 25
feet owe * were Kim• George and
Cucen Flizadieth, our King anti Queen
shaking hand with mann of the wan
veterans and other officials as they -
walked from one end of the stand
to the other. And we could not help
hat rexnark, "what an opportunity."
