Mr. Henry Volland of the Bronson
Line had a very successful bee on the
24th of May when about 20 neigh-
bors and friends gathered with teams
and shovels to gravel the lane. Al-
though the work was hard for the
boys, all reported a good time.
Our ball team went to Lucan on
Monday evening and surely got a
bad trimming, 17-0, as zeose Irish
Nine from the south sure laid it on
when they had the chance, and will
likely be the strongest team in the
leagete.

HORSE WAS KILLED
While C. W. 'll'aelt-ey was driving
his team of horses from the near -by
farm of his son, Bruce, along High -
Way, No. 4, half a mile north of Exe-
ter,,, a car driven by C. Brown, of
Farquhar, struck one of the horses.
The animal was thrown violently into
the 'ditch and was injured so serious-
ly that it subsequently had to be
destroyed.
