born on the blind line, hay township,
and for many years farmed on the
Lake- Road, south of Dashwood until
about thirty years ago he moved to
'hurrah ..where in recent years he
bxiilt a nice dwelling house just west
of the Evangelical church. Re was
twice n ariied, his first companion,

hisecond -marriage was with Annie

ago. Deceased was a member of the
.t",;vengelical church and was quite at-
tindative when he enjoyed ,lis good

Farms Sold
The ndi'ninistrators of the John
Baker estate have disposed of the
Mr. and Mrs° W. H. Talbot wel-
comed many guests at their home; to
Bayfield, on Monday afternoon, May
22, when they received in honor of •
their golden wedding anniversary:.
The reception of the afternoon was
happy affair at which Mr. and Mrs.
Talbot received congratulations and
good wishes of many friends and re-
latives. Lovely flowers, gifts to the
couple graced the room, and the table
was adorned with gold and white
strc<aners caught up by a white bell,
and centered with a lovely wedding
cake. The daughters of the house,
Mrs. Cameron; Mrs. Makins and Mrs
Sentchmer received and invited the
guests to the dining room where Mrs
Stevens (sister-in-law of Mrs., Talbot)
made a gracious hostess at the tea
table.
Mr. and Mrs. Talbot were married
in Hensel' 1889 by the Rev. Mr.
Friar and have resided in Stanley and
the vicinity of Hayfield all their lives,
Eight ehilddren were born to thisryun-

Cameron (Verde) of Seaforth; Mr..
Vodden ('Minnie) of Alberta; Villa
(deceased in infancy); Will and Le-
onard of Blue Water Highway; Mrs.

Scotchmer (Freida) near Bayfield.
In the .evening the bridal couple.
were guests of honor a.t a family
gathering when they were presented
with a radio by their children. Guests
were present from Woodham, Exeter
13rucefield and Detroit. Their many
friends wish thein many more years
of happy married life.
