The ,cold weather is prolonging - the maple sap season and those engaged in this industry are enjoying a big season. Mr. and Mrs. Milton Hey and dau- ghter of Royal Oak, iMch; Mr. Aus- tin Hey of Detroit and Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hey of Crediton, all visited with their parents here over Sunday. I Miss Jemima Johnston ]eft this week for Seaforth Hospital where she will be taking treatments for a few -weeks. We hope Miss Johnston will soon be recovered. Old King winter seems to be stay%- ing right with us, as there is snow on the ground and very heavy frosts in the nights, almost like mid -winter. The cold winds from the north seem anything but spring like. • Evangelical Church • Large congregations attended the two Easter Services and the Sunday School in the Evangelical Church.The reception of new members added te the impressiveness of tic morning services. "Into My Heart" and "I Surrender All" were tw3 hymns used in the ritual to make everyone con- scious of the seriousness of Church Membership. The Choir sang, "Easter -Dawn." The Pastor's theme was, 7fHallelgiah 1 'Christ Arose." The Royal.Knight's Bible .Class had' charge of the Worship Service in the,. gunday'8chool, 'Ile President, Oscar. .0reb noted as tlinarman. Prayer was 'offered by the Teacher, A. Melick. E. Gaseho read the ,devotional .lesson arid n poem on Easter was read by p. Wuerth. Two musical numbers were sung, one by the entire class and the other by an octtete. The Sunday School orchestra played a selection and accompanied the singing. The ChOir, with Mrs. H. G. Hess leading, made a very fine contribut- ion to the evening 'service. They sang a difficult but impressive anthem en- titled "1 know that my Rereemer Lives." A number was sting by the Ladies of the choir.
