Some Good Used Heaters at Very Reasonable Pikes (Qacterich Signal -Star) At the: last meeting of the Public Utilities ,Commission a statement of the charges for fiat -rate electric weer heaters at various points on the Stratford-Goderich line was suumit- ted. 'The charges on the basis of 100 watts. per month as follows: Stratford 38e., Mitchell 42c, ,Seaforth 42c, Clint tan 44c, Goderich 52c. We have been toad time and time again that two factors enter into the variation in prices of power as between different points; (1) distance of transmrssion; (2) quantity of power consumed. Goderich uses more power than any other point on the line west or Strat- ford. Yet the variation in price be- tween Stratford and -Clinton-a -dis- tance of about 37 miles -is e.., White between Clinton and Goderich-a distance of only twelve miles --it is Sc. This is only one more reason why Goderich should without any further delay take action to secure an alter- native system of power supply.
