FEDERATION OF AGRICULTURE
The Huron County Federation of
Agriculture met in the Agricultural
Board Room, Clintnon, Friday, Nov.
24th. The president Harry Sturdy in
the chair, with a good attendance of
directors 25 in number.
The first business was the reading
of the minutes by the .secretary which
were adopted by the secretary which
were adopted on motion.
The president welcomed the new-
comers as well as the old directors,
who introduced themselves. The nom-
inating committee to name the Exe-
cutive consisted of B. Matheson, B.
Lobb, W. Brown, who retired to
bring in a slate for the executive.

Auto Mishap
Last Fridy noon when Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Mellett and family; 'of
Zurich, accompanied by Mrs. Singu-
lar and daughter Bertha, were on
their way to London, their car took
a skid some distance below Elginfield
and rolled in the ditch. Help was
soon at hand to aid the passengers
in the car. Miss Bertha Singular re-
ceived an eye injury, Mrs. A. Mellett
several bruises,. Mr. Mellett and Mrs.
Singular a shock, while the children
seemed to be none the worse. They
were able to go on to the city with
their car where a doctor was con-
sulted. Miss Singular remaining at
St. Joseph's Hospital for observation
but all returned home on Sunday.
Their manyfriends are pleased to
hear that they were able to return
to their home in such good condition
after such an exciting experience.

OBITUARY
Late Samael Deitz
The funeral of the late Samuel
Deitz was held last Thursday after-
noon, with sexvice at the home foll-
owed by interment in the Bronson
Line Evangelical Cemetery
C. B. Heckendorn officiating. Mr.
Deitz had died on Tuesday in his 78th
year. Was born in 'Hay Township,
and farmed for a number of years
on the .Broneen line, and also worked
as a framer and contractor before
moving to Zurich 30 years ago. Many
a barn and building he framed in
this community. He carried on a
conteaeting business on tt edialaet
scale since moving to town. Be-
sides his dwelling house he built the
brick block in Zurich where the pest -
office and M. Oesch's grocery store
art, located, and helped his son Mil-
ton to erect the garage with living
quarters above. He was always busy
and 'posessed a whitty humor -when
in conversation. Surviving are his
widow and a son, Milton, Zurich; 3
daughters, (Lydia) Mrs. Emery Steb
bins, Grand Bend; (Ado) Mrs.Lol fl:
Aemstrong, Stanley ownsbin;
(Alice) 'Sirs. Albeit Buchaaan. at
home; two brothers, Richard, Mon-
tane; Albeet, Calgary; two sieters,
(Catharine) Mrs. Henry Reichert of
Zurich; and Elizabeth Delta, Weeh-
