Mr. John Galster of town, and
who is 86 years of age, brought to

derful piece of machenism that. he
built about fifty years age, namely a
miniture steam engine 'about 18 in-
ches in leagth, and the workmanship
on the same is next to perfect, • it
can be operated on air pressure or
live steam and runs beautiful. Any-
one interested in seeing this novel
piece of machinery can c' r so at the
office of Mr. Andrew F. Hess where
it is on display at present.

CANADA'S GRAND OLID MAN
Toronto -- Sir William MuIock,
former chief justice of Ontario, sole
surviving member of Sir Wilfred
Laurier's original cabinet and known
as Canada's Grand Old Man, died in
his sleep at his Toronto hone on
Sunday at the age of 101 years. ,He
was the centre of attraction at a
number of functions in honor alis

jurist, educationist and statesman,
Sir William was responsible for in-
troducing Canada's present prime
minister, Rt. Hon. Williams Lyon
Mackenzie King, into public life 44
years ago, when as Dominron Iabor
minister, he made Mr. King his de-
