Miss lane Geiger was a Sunday
visitor at London.
Mr. and Mrs, Anthony Hoffman
and family of the Babylon line spent
Father's Day at the home of the
former's parents, Mr. and Mrs, Simon
Hoffman.
Mr. and Mrs. Wu1111iam Mero and
son Billie, visited at London on Sun-
day with Mr. Jerky, Bertine and
Medeline Mero.
---,Annual Outing
The annual. fishing outing by the
nimrods of Amandsville, just east of
town; was celebrated on c$unday af-
ternoon, and the spoils wee quibe
satisfactory apparently, as each of
the participants returned 'home in the
evening with a well strung string of
shirty specimens. However, as us-
ually the story goes, "the big Ones
got away", and this tradition must
have again been in evidence as some
of the ones exhibited were hardly in
the "oversize" category.—.Corr.
GETS NAVY APPOINTMENT
Glenn Has of the Seaforth Taw
firm of McConnell er Hays, has been
appointed as Navy Representative,
Dependents Allowance Board, with
the rank of Probationary Sub -Lieut.
Special Branch, and after a period of
leave will be_ on duty with the Com-
manding Officer, Reserve Divisions,
Rosedale, Toronto. He enlisted in the
RCNVR in April 1942 and has been
doing legal work at HMCS, Toronto,
for the last year.
BLARE
The Blake School held their an-
nual picnic on the school grounds on
Monday afternoon with a good at-
tendance. A baligame and races for
the children were features, of the
day, also high jumping by the youn-
ger men folk. A picnic lunch after
which a]1 returned to their homes,
after a well spent afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hey were vis-
ited by their daughters from Wind-
sor, London and Brucefield on Sun-
day.
• Mrs. Lloyd Finnigan and son
Bobbie returned to her mother, af-
ter spending several weeks with her
sister, Mrs. Attridge in Goderich.
The many friends of Mrs. Arthur
Sreenan will be glad to learn that
she is able to sit up a while after
her lengthy illness.

1944 officers were reappointed and
the 1945 reunion will be held in
Goderieh. An unfortunate accident
occurred during the reunion when
four-year-old Marion Louise Alton,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Al-
ton of Lueknow was admitted to
Alexandria llioopital, Goderich, min-
us her teeth and with a terribly lac-

The annual Webster reunion was
held at Sky Harbor, Goderich, Sat-
urday, June 17th. One hundred and
fifty members of the clan were pre-
sent from Lucknow, Seaforth, Varna
Stanley Twp.,, Clinton, Parr Line,
Goderich and Honsall, and enjoyed
