GETS NAVY APPOINTMENT Glenn Has of the Seaforth Taw firm of McConnell er Hays, has been appointed as Navy Representative, Dependents Allowance Board, with the rank of Probationary Sub -Lieut. Special Branch, and after a period of leave will be_ on duty with the Com- manding Officer, Reserve Divisions, Rosedale, Toronto. He enlisted in the RCNVR in April 1942 and has been doing legal work at HMCS, Toronto, for the last year. BLARE The Blake School held their an- nual picnic on the school grounds on Monday afternoon with a good at- tendance. A baligame and races for the children were features, of the day, also high jumping by the youn- ger men folk. A picnic lunch after which a]1 returned to their homes, after a well spent afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Hey were vis- ited by their daughters from Wind- sor, London and Brucefield on Sun- day. • Mrs. Lloyd Finnigan and son Bobbie returned to her mother, af- ter spending several weeks with her sister, Mrs. Attridge in Goderich.
