more .serious had not the Varna rur-

to release them, gave the alarm and
it was found impossible to release
the boys until a chain was attached'

The Whistle Blows
Since the fire of the Kalbfleisch
Mills last winter we have been minus
the noon and supper hour whistle
blowing at regular times. However
this warning of the approach of these
important hours has again been in
evidence as Mr. Roy Schenk and his
portable sawing outfit are doing some
work at the Kalbfleisch Mills and the
steam whistle now b1owrs quite rcgu-
larily.
On Friday last a very happy event
occurred when Mr: and Mrs. Henry
