It appears that at long last these "iron bandits" are to meet their doom. Sure Was Warm The most unseasonable hot wea- ther in many a year came to a close. on Monday evening when after the big thounderstorms it turned cooler and to -day Wednesday we had to put on a fire to make conditions rather comportable. Last Friday was about the warmest, really mid -sum- mer heat, but the growth was good and now we are shivering a bit again but the summer may bring us plenty of warns weather. Plenty of Hail Hailstones as large as fifty -cent pieces fell on the farm of Bruce Koehler, Irvin Willert and others in that particular neighborhood and did plenty of damages. During the storm last Thursday evening several wind- ows were broken in the house of Mr Kohler, limbs were torn off trees, and the hail stripped many of the young and tender plants. After the storm both Mr. Willert and Mr. Koeh- ler gathered up the hail stones and each enjoyed a good freezer of ice cream for theevening; as the hail made the best of ice for this ,pur- Very unusual in these parts to so much hail.
