DANGERS OF INFLATION
GROWING
One of the great questions of the
day and one of the prime interests
of the .government is the fight against
inflation. Indeed it should, he the
prime• concern of every ,Canadian.
Aiding the government in it's right
are many concerns and organizations
carying on educative campaigns by
way way of advertising paid out of
their own funds. The first of a new
series of such advertisements, appro-
ved by the government at Ottawa,
under the heading "How Much is a
Dollar Worth?" is sponsored by the
Brewing Industry of Ontario and
was prepared by the Advertising Ag-
ency of Spitzer & Mills, Toronto,
appeared in a recent issue of the
Herald. The construction of the ad-
vertisement was most effective in
that it takes a graphic form of pres-
enting the case. It is indeed a read-
able appeal that will leave a lasting
impression with the theme, "Keep
Your Dollar Value High." The
"Pledge" proposed is concise and to
the point, with an appeal to buy
Victory Bonds and War Savings Cer-
tificates. When the war is won, peo-
ple may well look back to this ap-
peal and pledge and say' 'It has sav-
ed
aved me money and it helped this coun-
try."
