and has been confined to his home.
The ladies of -the Hensall Institute
acknowledge with gratitude receipt,
of a check for $10 received from
Miss Mary- Goodwin, treasurer of
the Girls' Dance 'Club. This grand
sum is in aid of the overseas boxes
which will be packed some time in
May by the Institute and War Ser-
vice committee.

ers, Misses Verna Cunningham and
Myrtle Gaiser donated a lovely quilt
which Mrs. •Spicer of near Dashwood
was the lucky ticket holder. Prizes
were won by Marie Spicer and Nancy
Tiernan for selling the most tickets
and the lucky one. The net procee-
ds amounted to $85.00 which con-
sisted of $29.00 on the quilt, $40.80
from the bazaar and $15.20 from the
tea. Many thanks is extended by the
teachers to the parents and friends
who so willingly gave their aid.

Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Finlayson of
near Seaforth visited at the home of
their son Mr. Arthur Finlayson , of
Blake on Sunday afternoon.
Mr. Ross Johnston left to spend a
few "days in London with his dau-
ghter also to visit his son Jim who is
in Byron S.anitorium, pleased to re
port Jon is improving in health.
Mr. Lloyd Finnigan, R.A.F. of
-Centralia has left for the East Coast
and may sail to England in the near
future. Mrs.. Finnigan and son Boby
are at present visiting in Goderich
with her sister, Mrs. Cecil Attridge.

the illness of Spr. Jack Taylor (over-
seas) formerly of Hensall, who is a
patient in the Canadian General` Hos
pital. Jack enlisted in the early -part
of the war and has been overseas for
four years.
