DIES AT BA'P"IELD
Death came suddenly to Henry
geOlinchey ion March '20th +at his
home in $ayiield. He was born in
Stanley Township, .Tune 25, 1804,
and was married April 3, 1'887 to
Rebecca A. 'Snider, to this union were
born !five children, the family lived
in Michigan for some years but re-
turned to Hayfield in 1918. Mr. Mc-
Clinchey was of a cheerful disposit-
ion, and a member of Trinity church.
Although he had not been feeling so
well for severe] days, he had been
about as usual and was taking off his
coat in the evening having ,finished
the chores, when he was seized with
la heart attack from which he did not
rally. 'Besides his widow and five
children, • he is survived by 15 grand-
children and 5 great grandchildren
and a brother, Wm. McClinchey of
Holmesville. The funeral was held
on Friday afternoon from his late re-

During the mild weather the past
week some of the crossings where.
;pe drains had been lain in town, be
fame very soft, in fact eiie crossing
on Victoria had to be closed, as -'the
vehicles became marooned in the mud
and had to be towed out. People
will have to be careful where they
drive this spring in town, and shothld
avoid these, soft crossings, even if
we have to go a block farther, it
is the safest in the long run. It
will be a bad mess when the spring
break-up comes, but by next spring
we will be all set and, things will be
settled to normal
