On i\Ionday evening the Babylon
Line Farm Forum met at the home
of Mr. and Mrs. Oscar t.rreb. The
topic of the discussion was Food Con-
ference. Following the discussion per-
iod a social hour was enjoyed. Next
week the meeting will be held at the
home of. Mr. and Mrs. :Wm. Le'ibold
, when we will have for our topic
"11944. Food Production."
The Unique Farm Forum met at
the :,Stelck homq with 28 present. Af-
ter the radio broadcast Grace •Stelck
enlarged on.the topic "Current Farm
Planning," and then those present
were divided into groups for discus-
sion, It' was agreed that if every man
thro'nghout the world had enough
good food, the people of different
countries of the world would get a-
long together without continuous fri-
ction. We would be willing w have
food rationing continued in Canada
for some years after the war if the,
•black market is controlled, the food
really goei to countries where it is',
needed. The middle man isn't piling
on costs. Food isn't held in storage
and allowed to spoil. These :stipulat-
ions would need to he strictly adher•
ed to. In regards to post-war food
exports we should adopt the policy
of Division of existing markets,,, be-
tween producing countries on a plan-
ned co-operative basis with particip-
ating countries securing contracts.
The next meeting is to be held at the
home of Harry McAdams wth Len
Merner as speaker on the subject
"Food Production Objectives for
1944." Mrs. Len Merner conducted
an hour of recreation lifter which a
delicious lunch was served.
