RED CROSS NEWS
Commencing Monday .1Vlarch 6th,
the local Branch of the Red Cross
will start its canvass of the Village
and •surrounding country with $1100
as its objective. Never before have
your donations been so greatly need-
ed as at the present time. As each
day goes by we and our gallant allies
are just that much nearer to victory
over the vicious and cruel enemy.
There is not the slightest doubt now
but that soon we shall be rid forever
of the threat to our liberty in all its
phases. For that we should Ise more
grateful than wards can express.
However before we can rest secure,
much blood and many lives will be
lost and we who stay at home away
from the horrors ef it all are asked
to give, to the utmost in helping those
overseas who arnfighting our battles
• and keeping our homeland iree from
all aggression. Have you done all you
could in the past? Will you not give
this time .even if it hurts a tittle?
What are a few paltry dollars to life
and Freedom. Help the 13eys' over-
seas who are giving their lives for
all of us. When the canvasser comes
to your home, meet him with a smile
and an open pocketbook. The list of
men who have volunteered to do this
work is as follows: Gordon Pybus,
Arnold Merrier, P. Eisenbach, T. Dins
