Dear IMIrs. Chester L. Smith: I am
writing this letter to thank you sin-
cerely for the air force mitts given
to me by the Zurich Red Cross. My
Chime from other towns envy me and
wonder why they receive no such
gifts from the Red Cross in their dis-
trict, They make me realize even
more, how fortunate I was to be re-
membered by such a gift; sand it is
with deepest gratitude that I now
belatedly write to you. The people
of Zurich have treated: both Calvin
and myself swell, and I want to
thank you again from the bottom of
my heart. Yours sincerely, Chelsea

Shortsighted Economy
Short-sighted saving has kept many business men
in the rut of toilsome grind all their lives and in
many instances landed them in bankruptcy. Caut-
ion must of course be. exercised.
In the present disturbed conditions, few business
people can afford to sit down and accept what
comes; if they do they will gradually drift into the
limbo of forgotten things.
Advertising has therefore proved itself a necessity
and the logical medium for this advertising is your
Local Newspaper. The one that heralds all the local
doings into every home. Nothing can compete
with it for home publicity. T1y It!
