The Zurich Branch of the 'Red Cross
will hold a carnival at the local Skat-
ing Rink on
MONDAY EVE., JANUARY 24th..
The admission will be 15c. for chit

The Babylon line Farm. Forum
group met at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Wm. Leibold on Monday even-
ing for their weekly meeting. The
topic for the discussion was `Credit
Unions." A social hour was enjoyed.

An Ice Carnival
Tlje •Zurich branch of the Red Cross
are halding a •Carnival on the local
ska,ing rink on Monday night,•Janu-
arY\24th. It's been a long tune
since(. a carnival was held in Zurich,
and -the public are urged to come out

Hall, Zurich Loll Monday evening with
a small attendance. 'Mr. E. M. Dagg,
the president presided, and the year's
work was gone over and was very
encouraging. The staff of officers
for the ensuing year are about the
smile, and the -Society is looking for-
ward for another good year's activ-
ities. If you cannot help with the
work and are doing other work,
surely you can help in other ways, as
cash donations are always very wel-
come by the -Society.
- OBITUARY
WELL-KNOWN CITIZEN, T. L-
WILLIAMS BURIED WEDNESDAY
The death took place in Victoria
Hospital, London, on MViona,ay, an -
'nary 10th, of Thomas Leslie Williams
Seven weeks ago, Less, as he was
familiarlly known, took suddenly i11
after attending to business all day,and was soon rushed to the Hospital,
where an operation was performed.
Re rallied nicely for a time when
hopes were held for his recovery but
his condition changed, he gradually
weakened and finally succumbed. He
had the best of medical and nursingcare, everything possible was done.
Less was born in Dashwood, but
was only a few years old when the
family moved to Zurich. Here be
secured his education, after whicli he
learned the milling business. He took
full charge -of the business after his
father -retired, since then operated'
the flourand chopping mill. As a
result had a wide acquaintance with
the farmers in the entire district.
He was an active member of the
Evangelical church taking an interest
in every department, especially the
Sunday School. He was for some
veal's chairman of the Trustee Board',
he took a great interest in the cem-
etery and its yearly service.

mourn his loss, his loving wife, Mar

The funeral was held at the resi-
denice. Rev. O. 13. Heckendorn offi-
ciated; Mrs. ,l'1'. :G. Hess and Mrs. M.

pall bearers wore old friends: Mr. Lee
Hoffman, Mr. Harry Hess, Mr. Rol -
ant Geiger, Mr, 1:31ake Horner, !vh .
